Agro Dutch Industries (AGRDUTFO) was formerly known as Agro Dutch Foods. It is a Chandigarh-based integrated mushroom producer and exporter. The company operates in two business segments, mushrooms and can making. Agro Dutch is the largest integrated mushroom company in the world.
The mushroom division manufactures fresh and canned mushrooms. It is into growing and processing white button mushrooms. Agro Dutch Industries is a leading exporter of mushrooms and has a mushroom production capacity of about 50,000 tons a year. It accounts for 85% of India`s mushroom exports. Agro Dutch is the first Indian Company to manufacture FP Easy Open Ends at a speed of 1500 ends per minute.
The can-making division manufactures open top sanitary cans and ends for the food packaging industry. Agro Dutch Industries is one of the largest manufacturers of food cans in India. It manufactures about 6,000 tons of cans a year and uses a third of its production to package its own mushrooms. The balance is sold to food products manufacturers. The main market of the company is situated at US, Mexico, Taiwan, Russia, Israel and Canada.
The company has manufacturing facilities located at the villages Tofapur and Bhagwanpura in Mohali, Punjab. Registered office of Agro Dutch is situated at Chandigarh, India.
Financials
The company disclosed fall of 206.90% in standalone net profit on y-o-y basis to Rs 503.93 million, while total income increased 8.33% y-o-y basis to Rs 315.97 million for the quarter ended March 2011.
