ATN International Ltd (AIL) was originally incorporated in 1983 under the name ``Arihant Consultants Private Limited.`` At present, the management of the Company is mainly engaged in Investment Banking & Satellite TV Channel. The Registered Office of the Company is situated at 10, Princep Street, 2nd Floor, Kolkata 700 072. AIL has two TV channels namely ATN Bangla and ATN World, which are both Bengali entertainment channels.
The company started its operation in both fund-based and non-fund-based activities like merchant banking services, consultancy services, corporate counselling, mergers and amalgamations. In 1994-95 the company commissioned a 4.1-MW wind power plant at Kayathar, Tamilnadu.Subsequently, it diversified into the highly potential and lucrative business of programme production and distribution in 1996-97 after entering into a strategic alliance with Asia Television Network Ltd. The company on 1st May 2001 has entered into an agreement for Airtime sharing with Cygnus Publications & Communications Pvt Ltd of Mithun Chakraborty to telecast their programmes on companies channel ATN WORLD. ATN also has an agreement for Airtime sharing with Rainbow Productions for telecasting Bengali feature films & other entertainment programmes. |
