Gammon Infrastructure Projects is an infrastructure project development company participating in the development of infrastructure projects on a public private partnership (PPP) basis. It was incorporated on Apr. 23, 2001 and got its present name on Apr. 01, 2002. Promoted by Gammon India, the company is a part of the Gammon group, which is an 83-year old diversified business group with civil engineering and construction as its major business interests.
Developing roads, bridges, hydro power, and ports, the company has forayed into infrastructure investment, urban infrastructure, airports, special economic zones, water and waste water management, railways, power transmission lines, agricultural infrastructure, project advisory services, project funding and sector specific O&M activities. Some of these projects include Adityapur Special Economic Zone Project, which involves design, construction, finance, operation and maintenance of the SEZ for Adityapur Industrial Area Development Authority; the Dharmavaram-Tuni Annuity Road Project for the up-gradation and widening of a 47 Km stretch between Dharmavaram and Tuni in Andhra Pradesh for the National Highways Authority of India; the new Mattancherry Bridge Project in Cochin for the Government of Kerala, where a 700-meter long bridge provides a two-lane link across the Mattancherry channel; the Mumbai Offshore Container Terminal In Mumbai Harbor for the Mumbai Port Trust, the first and single largest container privatization project at the Mumbai Port; and the Hydro Power Project at Tidong in Himachal Pradesh for developing a 60 MW hydro electric project for the Government of Himachal Pradesh. Andhra Expressway, Cochin Bridge Infrastructure Company and Mumbai Nasik Expressway are subsidiaries of the company.
