Kernex Microsystems (India) (KERNEX) is engaged mainly in the business of manufacturing, installing and maintaining anti-collision devices (ACDs) and systems. It was incorporated on Sep. 16, 1991 as a private limited company and converted into a public limited company on Jun. 30, 2000.
The ISO 9001:2000 certified company specializes in ACD systems. It conceptualizes, designs, and develops certain railway safety and signal systems for Konkan Railways Corporation under a technology partnership. These safety and signal systems are suitable for medium to low speed and density railway tracks such as in India and other developing countries. It holds an exclusive license for manufacturing, installation, commissioning and maintenance of anti-collision systems in India and is an outsourced facility for the Konkan Railways Corporation for manufacturing and supplying ACDs and related accessories.
The company is a technology partner for the development and implementation of auto-driving devices for Metro Sky-Bus Urban Transportation System, Advanced Railway Signal Systems and other safety systems. It holds exclusive marketing rights of ACD systems all over the world except India. Steps have been initiated to capture markets in countries like Egypt, Brazil, Argentina, South Africa, Venezuela, Indonesia, Vietnam and Cambodia.
In collaboration with Altpro from Croatia, the company is working on developing the multi-section digital axle counter for the railways. It has been appointed as Altpro`s sole technology partner to promote, market and sell their line of railway signaling and safety systems like digital axle counter systems, train detection systems, sensors, ATPS, SIFA, incident recorders and other products.
