Kothari Sugars And Chemicals Limited Company Profile
Kothari Sugar & Chemicals Limited, was incorporated during the year 1960 at Chennai. Its sugar factory was set up at Siruguppa in Karnataka State with daily crushing capacity of 1,500 tonnes. The company diversified into manufacturing of polybutenes and nitroaromatics, which has good demand in pharmaceutical industry. It also undertook production of various products finding application in pharmaceutical and other varied uses. However, accumulated losses forced company to refer to BIFR for revival plan. The Company has a technical collaboration with Cosden Technology Inc., U.S.A. for technical know-how, Biazzi, Switzerland and Krebskosmo, W. Germany. It has two subsidiary companies namely Kothari International Trading Limited & Kothari Biotech Limited.
