Onmobile Global is a provider of value-added software products and services in telecommunication. It was incorporated as a private limited company on Sep. 27, 2000 and became a public limited company with the present name on Aug. 21, 2007.
The company offers products including ringback tones, ringtone downloads, voice portals, subscription manager, contests, music messaging, on-device client software, mobile radio, dynamic voicemail, voice short messaging service and missed call alerts which enable subscribers to personalize their mobile phones. These products are targeted at end-user telecommunication subscribers with focus on the convergence between wireless and wireline telecommunications services, media content distribution, internet, mobile marketing and mobile commerce.
As on Sept. 30, 2007, the company had a market reach of more than 232 million subscribers in India and more than 81million subscribers internationally based on end user data and from sources like TRAI. Recent awards include being ranked the top value-added services company in fiscal 2007 by Voice & Data, India and ranked first in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 India 2007. It caters to domestic telecommunication giants like Bharti Airtel, Bharat Sanchar Nigam, Idea Cellular, Reliance Communications, Tata Teleservices; media companies like AOL Interactive Media India, Buena Vista Internet Group, ESPN Software India, Star India; and handset equipment manufacturers such as Nokia Pte to name a few.
International customers include more than 10 international telecommunications operators in over eight countries including SingTel Optus Pty in Australia, Sheba Telecom in Bangladesh, Malaysian Mobile Services in Malaysia, and others. Through its subsidiaries OnMobile Singapore, OnMobile Australia, PT OnMobile Indonesia, Phonetize Solutions, Vox mobili S.A. (France), Vox mobili Inc. (USA), and Ver Se Innovation and with offices in Singapore, Jakarta and Sydney, the company truly has a global reach.
