Resurgere Mines & Minerals India is presently engaged in the business of extraction, processing, and sale of iron ore products and development of mining assets. It was incorporated as a private limited company on Mar. 24, 1987 and became a public limited company on Jan. 27, 1997. Earlier known as Exfin Shipping (India), it got its present name on Jan. 05, 2007.
The ISO 9001:2000 and ISO 14001:2004 certified company has a product range including various forms of iron ore such as lump ore, size ore, calibrated lump ore, iron ore fines, and bauxite. It currently operates in the Kendujhargarh and Mayurbhanj districts of Orissa and has entered into long-term contracts for mines at Nuagoan, Tatiba and Maharajpur with the leaseholders for raising and purchasing iron ore. The mining assets have a cumulative estimated reserve of 74.82 million metric tons of iron ore and 4.92 million metric tons of bauxite as certified by Central Mining Research Institute dated Jul. 25, 2007 and Sep. 03, 2007 respectively.
A recognized star trading house and member of various business councils such as CAPEXIL, FIEO, and FIMI, the company sells its products domestically and is a merchant exporter of iron ore fines to China. Through its wholly owned subsidiary Warana Minerals, it holds 60% interest in a registered partnership firm, Shri Warana Minerals, which is engaged in the business of mining bauxite ore under a 30-year mining lease at a bauxite mine in Maharashtra.
