Sanghvi Movers (SANGHVIMQ) is among one the largest crane-hiring companies in India. It was incorporated as a private limited company on Nov. 03, 1989 and went public on Feb. 26, 1995. Part of the Sanghvi group, the company was co-promoted by Sanghvi Hi-Lift.
A fleet of 278 medium to large-sized heavy duty hydraulic and crawler cranes have been put in place as on Mar. 31, 2008 with capacities from 20 tons to 800 tons undertaking turnkey projects such as providing equipment, skilled manpower, movement of materials, erection of equipment, and assistance in fabrication apart from engineering services. It has set up windmills with a total capacity of 5.05 MW at Jaisalmer in Rajasthan and Chitradurga in Karnataka with assured business from the respective state electricity boards. In FY08, the main business of operating cranes accounted for 97.96% of total revenue.
Rated as the largest crane-hiring company in India and 10th largest in the world as per recent rankings from Cranes International Magazine, the company`s focus has been on streamlining operations and setting up depots and workshops. During the year, it has imported 34 cranes and has depots at Pune, Vadgaon, Chakan, Nagpur, Jamnagar, Bharuch, Delhi, Cuttack, Bangalore, and Chennai. Key sectors serviced include wind power, steel, power, refinery, cement, construction, metals and paper. It is presently working with, NTPC, Reliance Energy and Project Development, BHEL, Lanco, SEEPCO, BGR Energy, JSW Energy, Tata Steel, Bhushan Steel, Grasim, Ultra-Tech, L&T, ECC, Prism Cement, Delhi Metro and Vedanta to name a few.
