TIPS Industries Limited Company Profile
Mumbai based Tips Industries (TIPS) was incorporated in 1996. India.Kumar S. Taurani and Ramesh S. Taurani started the company known as Tips. In 1975, the Taurani brothers used to trade in LP`s (long playing phonograph records) for three of the biggest companies in India - HMV, Music India and CBS. Tips owns more than 3,500 titles of which a minimum of 10 have been 10 million sellers. Tips also holds soundtrack copyrights for several Hindi movies, and has a team of distributors catering to more than 1,000 wholesalers across the country who, in turn cater to 4 lakh retailers. The company also owns two factories which use internationally recognized, state of the art machines specially imported from Italy and Denmark, such as Otari, Lyrec and Tapematics. These factories incorporate digital bin mastering facilities, work on just-in-time inventory management system and use in-house logistics facilities to deliver more than 150,000 cassettes per day to the Indian market.
