Vivimed Labs (VIVIMEDLABS) is engaged in research and manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients and specialty chemicals. It was incorporated as a private limited company on Sept. 22, 1988, was converted into a public limited company on April 21, 1994, and got its current name on April 22, 1997.
The H & PC actives division of the company offers specialty chemical products including Triclosan catering to the anti-microbial, oral care, sun care, hair care, natural extracts, preservatives, anti-oxidants and other areas. In contract research and manufacturing, the company partners with customers in areas ranging from custom synthesis to manufacturing. The Vivimed advantage works from a 1 MT level to more than 100 MT level. Specialty pharmaceuticals offer a wide range of products customized to the needs of established manufacturers.
The ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001, and OHSAS 18001 certified company has cGMP manufacturing facilities located in Bidar, Karnataka with a capacity of 250 Kiloliters per day and in Bonthapalli, Hyderabad with a capacity of 400 Kiloliters per day. It has three pharmaceutical finished dose plants in Jeedimetla in Hyderabad, Kashipur and Haridwar in Uttaranchal. The R&D facilities are certified as a GLP Laboratory by CSIR, a Government of India undertaking.
The State Award for Excellence in Exports (SSI GOLD) for 2005 was conferred upon the company, a I star export house, by the Karnataka State Government for excellence in exports. The company`s major customers include Hindustan Lever, Anchor Healthcare, Marico Industries, Unilever and Harmet International (USA). The company is an approved global supplier to L`Oreal of France.

The company reported rise of 51.63% in consolidated net profit on y-o-y basis to Rs 121.74 million, while total income climbed 39.26% y-o-y basis to Rs 1.21 billion for the quarter ended March 2011. |
