Ramco Systems Limited (RSL), the erstwhile systems division of Ramco Industries Limited (RIL), was demerged from RIL after the shareholders` and the Madras High Court`s approval in December 1999. RSL is a global provider of enterprise software solutions and services. The company has been moving up the value chain, evolving from being just an ERP company. The four main focus areas of RSL`s operations are Ramco e.Applications enterprise solutions, Ramco VirtualWorks products and services, consulting (e-commerce, systems integration, application development, real-time, fuzzy logic) and networking & security. ERP contributed 41% to the company`s revenues in fiscal 2000, while system integration contributed 39%. The company moved into new areas of revenue like professional services and projects, which contributed 13% and 6% to the revenues respectively.
