Ador Welding (ADORWELDING), formerly known as Advani-Oerlikon, is a leader in the welding electrodes and allied consumables industry in India. Promoted by J.B. Advani & Co. in collaboration with Intercito, Switzerland, the company was incorporated on Oct. 22, 1951 in Mumbai as a private limited company and went public in 1986. The executive chairman is A. B. Advani and V.G. Kutty is the managing director. With six manufacturing plants, a comprehensive distribution and highly acclaimed centre for welding excellence (CWE), the company develops, manufactures and sells welding and cutting products which cover industries like steel, petro chemicals, fertilizer, hydro electric and thermo power plants, nuclear power plants, ship building and heavy machinery. The project engineering division (PED) provides world class environmental engineering products and welding automation systems. The company provides welding equipment for all types of welding needs like AC arc welders, welding rectifier sets, submerged arc welding outfits etc. Cutting equipment includes optical profile cutting machines, compact argon gas regulators, ..etc. Welding accessories include wire feeders, torches etc. The company has alliances for technology sourcing with Andon International, Gba Flare Systems (London/Italy/Us), H.A. Schlatter (Switzerland), Jetline Engineering (USA), Koike Sanso Kogyo Co. (Japan), Optrel (Switzerland), Polysoude (France), Railtech Schlatter Systems (France), and Translas Tipworks (Holland). It has ISO 9000 series certification for quality standards for all its six manufacturing plants and ISO 14001:2004 standard for consumables. The company has 26 sales offices and eight field offices across India. Its registered office is at Ador House, 6-K, Dubash Marg, Fort, Mumbai- 400001. Financials The company reported rise of 0.30% in standalone net profit on y-o-y basis to Rs 56.63 million, while total income climbed 8.18% y-o-y basis to Rs 705.33 million for the quarter ended December 2010.
