Siyaram Silk Mills (SIYARAM) manufactures and trades in woven fabrics, texturizing yarn and readymade garments. It was incorporated as a private limited company on Jun. 29, 1978 and converted into a public limited company on Apr. 16, 1980. The company is part of the Siyaram Poddar Group, a conglomerate having businesses in textiles, yarn, readymade garments, furnishings, paper, rubber, and tires. Other group companies include Balkrishna Industries, Siyaram Poddar Finance & Trading, and Govind Rubber. The company manufactures synthetic yarn and specialized fabrics like polynosic and tencel; processes various blends like polyester/viscose, polyester/cotton, polywool and 100% polyester with finishes like mechanical stretch, Teflon-coated, stone wash, water peach skin, oil repellent; capacity to dye wrinkled fabric, polyester, polysilk and nylon with jet-dyeing machines; and manufacturing a wide range of suitings, shirtings, trousers and other garments. Manufacturing units are located in Tarapur and Mumbai in Maharashtra, and the Union territories of Daman and Silvassa with a installed capacities of dyeing 4,500 TPA, over 370 weaving machines, 439 sewing machines, and can produce over 2.9 million meters of fabric per month. The company markets its products under the brand names Siyaram`s, MiSTAiR, J. Hampstead, Oxemberg, Miniature and Featherz. The R&D department develops fabrics and readymade garments as per the latest trends and designs. Exclusive retail shops have opened selling all the brands of the company. This would cater to the upcoming niche market of entire profile and increased purchasing power. New products under existing brands and a new brand of readymade garments have been launched in FY07. The company is widening its marketing network by appointing dealers, retailers, franchisees and C&F agents to increase its market size. Siyaram Polycote and Oxemberg Clothing are subsidiaries. The registered office is located at H-32/MIDC, A-Road, Tarapur Boisar, Thane-401506.
