TTK Healthcare (TTKHE) is a diverse company operating through its pharmaceuticals, consumer products, biomedical devices, foods and maps divisions. Incorporated on May 21, 1958, it went public in 1985. The company is part of the TTK group, a totally integrated manufacturing and marketing group, which has business interests in the core products of kitchenware, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food products, condoms, and other products. TTK Prestige, TTK Textiles, Sara Lee TTK, TTK Bharat Planet - NRI Services, TTK-LIG, and TTK Maersk Medical are other group companies. The company operates in personal care products offering the Eva range of women`s personal care products. Baby care products offered are the Woodward`s brand of soap and gripe water. The ethical products business deals in herbal and allopathic pharmaceutical formulations in various therapeutic segments. The product range includes calcium supplements, haematinics, cervical dilator, thrombolytic agents, rejuvenators, multimineral supplements, galactagogues, liver correctives, pain management products, anti-ulcerants, and other products. This division caters to gynaecologists, physicians, orthopaedists, cardiologists and general practitioners. Ventura, the herbal products division, is present in 13 regions across the country with a coverage of around 30,000 doctors every month. It has introduced new products like LYCO-Q, a male infertility formulation; Arthrid Oil, an anti-arthritis formulation; and Utronorm Forte, a fortified version of poly herbal uterine tonic. The veterinary formulations division offers liver correctives, calcium and phosphorus supplements, anthelmintics, antibiotics, ectoparasiticides, and other products. It has launched a new product Immular, a herbal immuno modulator in FY07. The company`s major contribution to healthcare has been the manufacture and distribution of India`s first indigenous heart valve prosthesis - the tilting-disc TTK Chitra heart valve. Nearly 18,000 heart valves have been successfully implanted in patients. The coronary stend project under the New Millennium Indian Technology Leadership Initiative (NMITLI) is in an advanced stage of progress. Commercial production of heart valves has commenced at the new manufacturing facility in Trivandrum in March 2008. The publications division is the largest producer of maps and map-based publications in the private sector focusing on maps publications, digital cartography, tourist information books, and other products. The foods division manufactures potato and cereal based pellets in its state-of -the-art facility for markets in India and abroad. With manufacturing units in Chennai and Karnataka, the company has as well developed domestic sales network. Its export division caters to the export markets of Middle East, Africa, Asia and develops new markets. The registered office is located at 6 Cathedral Road, Chennai-600086, Tamil Nadu.
