Viceroy Hotels Limited Company Profile

Viceroy Hotels (VICEHOT) is engaged in the hospitality business segments of hotels, restaurants, food and beverage. It was incorporated in 1965 and signed a master franchisee agreement in 2005 with the global hospitality major Marriott International Inc. to become its franchisee. The company has turned the erstwhile Viceroy Hotel & Convention Center into the 297-room Marriott Hyderabad hotel overlooking the Hussain Sagar in Hyderabad. Projects being implemented include the Renaissance Vizag project, a luxury 200-room hotel in Hyderabad, slated to take off in 2008; the 350-room J W Marriott Chennai, a super luxury hotel overlooking the Bay of Bengal, scheduled to open by April 2009; a 21-storey, 250-room, ultra modern hotel Renaissance in Bangalore overlooking the famous Bangalore Racecourse, to be managed by Marriott International on completion in 2010; and the 200-room Courtyard Hyderabad, a business hotel scheduled to open next to Marriott Hyderabad by April 2009. The alliances with the USD 10 billion Marriott group and BreadTalk, which today has more than 200 boutique bakeries in nine countries, will provide the necessary thrust for its growth plans. Around 40 BreadTalk outlets would be started in India as part of its expansion plans. Crustum Products, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company, is the master franchisee for BreadTalk Singapore. It presently operates outlets at the Inorbit Mail, BG House and Galleria Mall in and around Mumbai; and at Qmart in Hyderabad. Cafi d Lake, which operates all the restaurants businesses under Minerva Coffeeshop, Blue Fox Bar & Restaurant, Eat Street and Water Front, is a subsidiary of the company. Minerva Hospitalities is another subsidiary. The registered office of the company is located at 1-3-1036/3/1, Lower Tank Bund Road, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad-500080, Andhra Pradesh.
