Abhishek Corporation Limited Company Profile

Abhishek Mills was originally incorporated as Abhishek Cotspin Mills in 1993. The name of the company was changed to the current one in 2005. Abhishek Mills is a 100% export oriented unit. The company has a presence in two segments, yarn manufacturing and construction. The company`s spinning unit was set up in the year, 1999 with modern manufacturing facility of 13104 spindles for 100% combed cotton. In the year 2003, Abhishek Mills expanded its capacities to 25920 spindles including 2016 spindles of compact spinning with value added facilities like Autoconer, TFOs, Singeing. In the year 2005, the company undertook further expansion by installing additional 7200 spindles that became operational from April 2006. At present, the company has 33120 spindles producing 100% combed cotton yarn and can manufacture yarn with finer counts in the range of 40s to 120s. Abhishek Mills has effectively managed its export business by targeting the finer count premium segment, where there are comparatively fewer players. It has created an export base in European countries like Germany, Italy, Switzerland and other countries including Vietnam, Bahrain, Hong Kong, Russia, Korea and Mauritius. Abhishek Mills ventured into the construction business in the year 2000 and undertook job work for Morbe dam (earthern) project on Dhavri River. Some of the infrastructure projects undertaken by the company include Kasari Project at Gelawade in Kolhapur District, Kumbhi Dam in Kolhapur District and Patgaon Dam in District Kolhapur. Abhishek Mills is going to issue initial public offering (IPO) of 4,100,000 equity shares of Rs 10 each. The price band for the issue has been fixed between Rs 95 and Rs 110. The issue closes on Feb. 26, 2007. Out of the total shares issued, 205,000 equity shares would be kept aside for employees and net issue to public will be 3,895,000 equity shares. The capital raised from the IPO will be used in establishing a textile plant in Tamgaon, Kolhapur district, Maharashtra. Financials The company disclosed rise of 19.65% in standalone net profit on y-o-y basis to Rs 78.35 million, while total income increased 14.24% y-o-y basis to Rs 162.49 million for the quarter ended December 2010.
