Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd. (GPIL), formally Ispat Godawari Ltd (IGL), is a part of the Hira Group of Industries. It was incorporated in September 1999 and commenced production of its sponge iron division in April 2001. The company initially had three divisions, sponge iron, steel billets and captive power. Its facilities are located at Siltara industrial estate, near Raipur in Chattisgarh.
