Mangalore Chemicals & Fertilzers produces naphtha based fertilizers like urea and ammonia, granulated fertilizers and di-ammonium phosphate. Its plants are loated at Panambur in Karnataka. The company, incorporated in 1966, was declared potentially sick in Mar. 1990 and the UB group was selected to revive it. The group acquired three fourths of the company`s shares and was successful in turning around the company. By 2000, the company`s net worth became positive again.
