Mawana Sugars Limited Company Profile

Mawana Sugars (MAWANASUG) is engaged in the business of manufacturing and selling chemicals, sugar and edible oils. It emerged as an independent entity in 1989 out of the restructuring of the erstwhile DCM Group. Earlier known as Siel, it got its present name with effect from Jan. 04, 2008. Siel Industrial Estate is an associate company. The ISO 9001:2000 certified company manufactures and markets sugar using the brand name Mawana. Manufacturing units are located in Mawana, Titawi, and Nanglamal with installed capacities of 29,500 TCD cane crushing, 160 KLPD ethanol from its two distilleries at Titawi and Nanglamal, and 47MW co-generated exportable power. It has launched premium refined sugar in resealable zip lock sachet, sugar cubes and sachets targeted at the hospitality industry. The premium range of refined sugar is branded Mawana Select. The consumer pack branded sugar travels through a well established FMCG distribution channel reaching 10,000 retail outlets in the northern parts of India. A leading chlor alkali manufacturer in North India, the company manufactures caustic soda (flakes & lye), stable bleaching power, hydrochloric acid, sodium hypochlorite, hydrogen and liquid chlorine. The caustic soda plant located in the Rajpura district of Punjab with an installed capacity of 240 TPD with provision to convert 100 TPD into flakes. Two units at the same location produce 100 MT/day HCl of Le-carbon. It has entered into third-party manufacturing arrangements with manufacturers of chlorinated paraffin wax which can consume up to 2,000 MT/month of chlorine. Third party manufacturing arrangements have been made for bottling hydrogen. The registered office of the company is located at 6th Floor, Kirti Mahal, 19, Rajendra Place, New Delhi-110008.
