Nu Tek India (NUTEK) is a telecom infrastructure service provider for both mobile and fixed telecommunication networks. It was originally incorporated as a private limited company on Jul. 06, 1993 and converted into a public limited company on Mar. 24, 2006. Nu Tek Cellulars, Nu Tek Structures, Nutek Infrastructure, and Oriental Stitch are promoter group companies.
The ISO 9001:2000 certified company provides key services including turnkey infrastructure roll out services, telecom equipment implementation and commissioning solutions, turnkey roll out services for optical fiber communication access and backbone tower infrastructure, operations and maintenance for wireless and wireline networks support, and technical support services. Turnkey projects providing management expertise to clients for infrastructure creation and installation at telecom sites as well as optical fiber cable backbone projects are undertaken. Emphasis is on new technology projects like world interoperability for microwave access (WIMAX) and 3G nodes. With site offices and facilities located in major cities and having executed projects in all the 23 telecom circles, it has the wherewithal to undertake multi-site projects pan India.
Nu Tek has been partnering with Huawei for the past 5 years, which honored the company with the award Excellent Supplier for the year 2007. It is registered with the Department of Telecommunication as Infrastructure Provider - Category I. As on Sep. 30, 2007, the company is executing various works for clients worth Rs 446.06 million. This includes works for Nokia Siemens Networks valued at Rs 226.7 million, ZTE Telecom - Rs 62.8 million, Quipo Telecom - Rs 27.7 million, Motorola - Rs 22.7 million, Bharti Telenet - Rs 24.7 million, and Ericsson - Rs 19.9 million. Late in August 2008, it bagged an order from BSNL for operation and maintenance of its telecom sites in Delhi. Other major clients include Ericsson India, Nortel Networks India, Huawei Technologies Company, Tata Teleservices, Reliance Communications, Bharti Airtel, Idea Cellular, Vodafone Essar, Videsh Sanchar Nigam, Essar TTIL, Xcel Telecom and IMI. A 75% subsidiary, Nutek Telekomunikasyon Danismanlik Muhendislin Ve Dis Ticaret Sanayi, has been established in Turkey and a contract in place with Ericssion AB in Dubai to provide services in the Middle East.
