Tulip IT Services (TULIP) is a data telecom services and IT solutions provider. It was incorporated on May 19, 1992 and got its current name on Jan. 10, 2002.
The company has four major lines of business, namely network integration, corporate data connectivity, rural connectivity and infrastructure management services. The MPLS VPN inter-city network is based on optical fiber cable provided by multiple service providers with the last mile connectivity being wireless. The company provides IP-based solutions using wireless technology to deliver high quality voice, data and video to rural areas of India. It provides network integration with facility management services, network management, security services, annual maintenance contracts, and consultancy services.
In May 2007, the company added managed data centre services, managed customer premise equipment services and managed video services for enterprises to its portfolio of services offered. The managed data center offering is supported by 24x7 network operation centers. With the first data center in Delhi, similar facilities are coming up in Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. Being awarded the international long distance license by the Department of Telecom (DoT), the company is now able to provide high-end services in the virtual private network bandwidth market. It has bagged a INR-530 million order from the West Bengal State Wide Area Network Project. The network supporting data, voice and video will be established on the build, own, operate and transfer (BOOT) model by the company over a period of five years.
The company caters to banks, service providers, media companies, government enterprises, and call centers with a client list which includes NDPL, Mahindra, HDFC Bank, Philips, Tata Motors among other companies.
