Rohit Ferro-Tech (ROHITFERRO) is a leading manufacturer of ferro alloys. It was incorporated as a private limited company on Apr. 07, 2000 and converted into a public limited company on Jun. 24, 2004. The company is part of the Impex group, which has a major business interest in ferro alloys and has diversified into software development and IT-enabled services. Impex Metal & Ferro Alloys, Impex Ferro Tech, Ankit Metal & Power, and Impex Infotech are other group companies. The ISO 9001:2000 certified company produces ferro alloys like high carbon ferro chrome, ferro manganese and silico manganese, which are used in the manufacture of mild, alloy and stainless steel. It has come a long way to position itself as a leading producer of high carbon ferro chrome. Manufacturing facilities are located at Bishnupur in the Bankura district of West Bengal and Kalinganagar in the Jaipur district of Orissa. The capacity expansion at both its plants has been completed, and the expanded combined capacity stands at 165,000 MTPA with total furnace capacity increasing to 102 MVA comprising of 4 x 9 MVA and 4 x 16.5 MVA furnaces at Bishnupur and Jajpur respectively. In May 2008, the company bought 40 acres of land in Haldia, West Bengal, which was allotted by the Haldia Development Authority for setting up a ferro alloy plant. A recipient of the Two Star export house status, the company exports its products to quality conscious countries including Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Mexico, the Middle East, China and Korea. SKP Overseas, a wholly owned subsidiary in Singapore, has signed definitive agreements with PT Pacific Samudra Perkasa of Indonesia towards 60% economic interest in two mining companies, namely, PT Palopo Indah Raya and PT Bara Prima Mandiri.
