Shyam Telecom (SHYAMTELE) incorporated in 1992, is a leading manufacturer of Telecom Equipment in India. Shyam Telecom is a public sector company promoted by Shyam Antenna Electronics. Shyam Telecom has been operating in various areas of the telecom business, and its current product range includes SOHO boosters, RF coverage systems, optical DAS and telecom accessories. The company exports it products and services to the United Kingdom, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Thailand, Bahrain, Mongolia, Malta, and Tanzania. Shyam Telecom is based in New Delhi, India.
The company had availed the services of Pricewaterhouse Coopers to suggest it abusiness restructuring program. Under the program, the company had separated manufacturing and telephony service activities to separate entities. Shyam Telecom is a ISO 9001 Certified company for its quality system under the American National Standard Institute.
Shyam Telecom now plans to diversify and expand on several fronts to consolidate its operations. Around Rs. 700 million will be spent on expansion, of which Rs. 525 million will be invested in developing products like digital multi-access radios, wireless in local loop and various VSAT and DAMA systems. Another major diversification area is in cellular services (Rajasthan & North East India) and Basic services (Rajasthan). Approximately Rs. 20,000 million is being invested in these ventures over the next five years to which Shyam is the largest shareholder Cellular service under the style of Hexacom India have already commenced in some parts of Rajasthan.
