Promoted by Murugan M Thevar, Sudar Garments has been associated with the apparel manufacturing business since 1992 and today it has installed capacity of 2 million pieces of garments and proposes further expansion. It is presently manufacturing under its own brand name `Glory to Glory` and will be launching two more brands namely `St. Paul` and `Majesty` along with setting up of retail outlets and also brand building exercise The total income of the company has increased from Rs 209 million in 2008-09 to Rs 539.70 million in 2009-10 and the profit after tax (PAT) during the same period was up from Rs 5.90 million to Rs 41.10 million. For the first half of the current fiscal period ended Sep.30, 2010 the company has achieved total income of Rs 526 million and net profit of Rs 40.80 million, which is almost equivalent to the whole of previous year.
