VIP Industries, established in 1971, is a leading manufacturer of hard and soft luggage. It is the flagship company of the USD 200 million D.G. Piramal group.
The company manufactures a range of injection molded polypropylene cases, vacuum-formed acrylonitrile butadiene styrene cases, and soft-side luggage in nylon, polyester and ethylene vinyl ace material. The product range includes strollys, suitcases, duffles and overnight travel solutions, executive cases, backpacks, and school bags. It markets its products under the brand names VIP, Carlton, Delsey, Footloose, Alfa, Aristocrat, and Skybags.
The manufacturing units are located at Nashik, Jalgaon, Nagpur and Sinnar in Maharashtra and Haridwar in Uttaranchal. The acquisition of both the brand and manufacturing equipment of Carlton International, UK, has brought the entire range of award-winning designs and other intellectual property rights as well as equipment to make Carlton`s 22 ranges of hard and soft-sided luggage under the company`s fold. Carlton Travel Goods, the UK subsidiary, will distribute both the Carlton and V.I.P. brands in Europe. It has a strategic alliance with DELSEY to market their products in India and South East Asia. A joint venture is in place in Bangladesh under the name of V.I.P. Nitol Industries.
Overseas offices of the company are located in the USA, South Asia, Middle East, Africa and Europe. Various products of the company are sold across 1,300 retail outlets in 27 countries including UK, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, West Asia, Hong Kong and Africa.
