Great Offshore (GREATOFF) is an integrated offshore oilfield services provider offering a broad spectrum of services to upstream oil and gas producers to carry out offshore exploration and production (E&P) activities. It was incorporated in the year 2005 as a public limited company to demerge the offshore services business of GE Shipping into a separate company. Sevantilal J. Parekh is the chairman and Vijay Kantilal Sheth, the managing director of the company. The company provides services to the major E&P operators in offshore drilling, offshore logistics support, marine construction projects, and port and terminal support. The company operates in India as well as in the international waters of the North Sea, the Middle East, South Africa and South East Asia with its state-of-the-art vessels that include exploratory rigs, offshore support vessels, anchor handling tug supply vessels and a construction barge. It also provides port and terminal support services through a fleet of harbor tugs. With its newly-built anchor handling tug supply vessel, the company`s fleet strength stands at 40 offshore vessels (2 exploratory rigs, 26 offshore support vessels, 11 harbor tugs and a construction barge). It was awarded a prestigious five-year contract from ONGC for its new state-of-the-art jack-up rig valued at Rs 10,000 million to commence in May 2009. The company has gained DNV`s Integrated Management System (IMS) accreditation conforming ISO 9001:2000, ISO 14001:2004 & OHSAS 18001:1999 standards. GOL has two wholly-owned subsidiaries, Deep Water Services (India) and Great Eastern Fujairah LLC`FZC in UAE. It has offices in UAE and Malaysia and its registered office is at Energy House, 81, D. N. Road, Mumbai-400001.
