Indian Bank (INDIANB) is a leading public sector banking institution with one of the largest network of branches in the state of Tamil Nadu. The chairman and managing director is M.S. Sundara Rajan. Indian Bank`s retail banking business provides financial products and services to retail customers like loans and deposit services. It distributes products such as global debit and credit cards and third party products such as mutual fund products for life and non-life insurance and mediclaim policies. It will also fund entrepreneurs. The bank has introduced 100% business computerization, 168 centers under Anywhere Banking, core banking solution (CBS) in 1204 branches and 77 extension counters, 429 ATMs in 99 cities/towns, 24 x 7 Service through 8,500 ATMs under shared network, internet and tele-banking services to all core banking customers, e-payment facility for corporate customers, cash management services, depository services, ..etc. The bank has 1,476 branches in India, a branch in Singapore, and a branch and foreign currency banking unit in Colombo, Sri Lanka. It has 229 overseas correspondent banks in 69 countries. It has 88 FOREX authorized branches inclusive of three specialized overseas branches in Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai; five specialized NRI branches; and one small scale industries branch. It has recently set up a fourth business segment for SMEs. It has three subsidiaries, namely IndBank Housing, Indbank Merchant Banking Services and IndFund Management. The bank has strategic tie-ups with HDFC Standard Life Insurance Company to distribute insurance products and with Oriental Bank of Commerce and Corporation Bank to collectively build loan assets as well as fee-based businesses. Its head office and registered office is at PB No.1384, 66, Rajaji Salai, Chennai 600001, Tamil Nadu.
