Moser Baer India is engaged in the manufacture of recordable compact discs (CD-R), rewritable compact discs (CD-RW), pre-recorded CD/DVD, digital versatile discs (DVD-R) rewritable digital versatile discs (DVD-RW), LightScribe enabled media in its optical storage solutions, compact cassettes, micro floppy discs (MFD), and digital audio tapes for magnetic data storage media solutions. It is an OEM supplier to all the 12 leading storage media brands in the world. The company was founded by managing director Deepak Puri in technical collaboration with Maruzen Corporation, Japan and Moser Baer Sumiswald, Switzerland. Moser Baer India is one of the lowest-cost manufacturers of optical media in the world. To continue offering the latest technology, the company has several technical collaborations with its contemporaries. This year the company collaborated with Indian Institute Of Technology (IIT) Delhi on areas of thin-film coating and sputtering technology. The company began mass production and shipment of LightScribe-enabled media in collaboration with Hewlett-Packard.
