Cords Cable Industries is engaged in the manufacture and marketing of cables. It was incorporated as a private limited company on Oct. 21, 1991 and was converted into a public limited company with the present name on May 10, 2006.
The ISO 9001:2000 accredited company manufactures cables upto 1.1 KV with the product range including low tension (LT) control cables, LT power cables, instrumentation cables, compensating cables, coaxial cables, thermocouple extension cables, telephone cables, panel and household wires, networking cables and customized cables. The company is expanding the existing capacity and widening the range of LT cables manufactured at its Chopanki factory in Rajasthan at an estimated total capex of INR 132 million. The project is slated to be completed by January 2008. The company is introducing high tension (HT) cables and rubber cables through a new project undertaken in Pathredi, Rajasthan.
The company caters to industries like power, steel, cement, fertilizers, chemicals, and petroleum among several others. It is pre-qualified and has the approval of large corporates and well known public sector undertakings; top consultants such as Kvaerner Powergas India, Det Norske Veritas As, Toyo Engineering India, Jacob H&G, Engineers India, Mecon, Rites, M.N. Dastur & Co., Tata Consulting Engineers and others. The company`s clientele includes BHEL, Hindalco, NTPC, ACC, Tata Steel, HPCL, GAIL, Siemens, Honeywell, L&T, MRPL to name a few. It exports its products to Bangladesh, Zambia, Oman and Kuwait among other countries.
