Vishal Retail (VISHALRET) is a retail house in India. It was incorporated on July 23, 2001 as a private limited company and got converted into a public limited company on Feb. 20, 2006.
The company sells readymade apparels, household merchandise, and other
consumer goods like footwear, watches, toys, toiletries, grocery items, sports items, crockery, novelties and gifts. It endeavors to facilitate the one-stop convenience with reasonably-priced products by either manufacturing at its own plant in Gurgaon, Haryana or directly procuring from small and medium size vendors and manufacturers.
As on Nov. 15, 2007, the company had 70 stores spreading across an area of approximately 1.67 million sq. ft. To ensure efficiency in supply chain management, the company has set up seven regional distribution centers around Kolkata, Thane (Maharashtra), Jaipur (Rajasthan), Ghaziabad (Uttar Pradesh), Ludhiana (Punjab), Gurgaon (Haryana) and Delhi.
