Indraprastha Medical Corporation (Indraprastha) is a Delhi-based healthcare company which operates through Indraprastha Apollo Hospital. Indraprastha Apollo, a 695 bed specialty hospital, was commissioned Dec. 1995 in collaboration with New Delhi administration. The hospital spread across an area of 675,000 sq ft is the largest corporate hospital in India and the fourth largest in the world. The hospital has various centres such as Apollo cardiac center, Apollo cancer center, Apollo surgical science center among others. The hospital undertakes activities like health check-ups, transplants, cardiac and other surgeries. The company has operated on around 7.4 million patients. The group also owns 12 hospitals and four clinics.
The company posted a sales growth of 17.8% at Rs 584.32 million for quarter ended Sep. 2006, as against Rs 496.07 million for the previous quarter ended Sep. 2005. Net profit increased 3.52% at Rs 17.06 million as against Rs 16.48 million. The company`s net profit for the year ended Mar. 2006 stood at Rs 166.61 million while EPS stood at Rs 1.82. |
