Ramsarup Industries (RAMINDU3), a Kolkata-based company was incorporated in 1979 and manufactures wires and TMT bars. The company serves railways, housing, power, roads and bridges, water management, and defense sectors. Ramsarup Industries, formerly known as Ramsarup Engineering Industries Limited, changed its name to Ramsarup Industries in 2005. Ashish Jhunjhunwaia, the Chairman and Managing Director, is the promoter of the company.
Ramsarup Industries is one of the few manufacturers in India to provide the whole range of TMT products with size ranging from 8mm to 40mm.It has an installed capacity of 1,37,000 tons of wire drawing and 60,000 tons of galvanized wires per annum. It is also setting up a Structured Mill with an installed capacity of 1, 35,000 TPA.
The company has works at Kalyani and Shyamnagar in West Bengal. The company has four units - Ramsarup Industrial Corporation, Ramsarup Utpadak, Ramsarup Vidyut and Ramsarup Infrastructure. Some of the prominent customers of Rasarup?s steel wires include Power Grid Corporation of India, L & T, Kalpataru Transmission and Power , KEC. and Apar Industries. Similarly for the TMT bars leading customers are L & T, Gammon India, Reliance Energy and HCC.
