It has recently forayed into the mosquito repellant industry. The company`s rechargeable products cater to the cylindrical replacement market and cordless phones. It has a complete range of plastics, aluminum and brass flashlights. All battery and flashlight products are branded Eveready. Packet tea products are branded Tez, Premium Gold, Jaago and Classic. Mosquito coils are branded Eveready PowerOn. The company`s manufacturing facilities are located in Chennai, Hyderabad, Lucknow, Noida and Kolkata. Its latest state-of-the-art battery plant commenced commercial production on April 2, 2007 in Hardwar, Uttaranchal, having a capacity of 360 million units. Eveready is India`s largest selling brand of dry cell batteries and flashlights (torches), with dominant market shares of about 46% and 85% respectively. It is the world`s third largest producer of carbon zinc batteries, selling more than a billion units a year. The company has signed an agreement with Phoenix Lamps for sales and distribution in the country of the latter`s general lighting lamps excluding automotive applications.
