Nitin Fire Protection Industries (NITINFIRE) is a leader in fire protection, safety, security and intelligent building management systems, high pressure seamless cylinder and refueling systems. It was incorporated on Sept. 04, 1995 and went public in 2007. The ISO 9000 certified company focuses on fire protection, safety and security including intelligent building management systems; and high pressure seamless cylinders and refueling systems. Specific areas of operation are fire protection, fire detection and alarm, building automation and security. Products include detectors/control panels, high sensitive aspirating smoke detectors and linear heat sensing detectors, automatic self-seeking fire extinguishers, simple self-activating systems, ABC fire extinguishers, wide array of corrosion-resistant and dependable brass accessories, and large fire extinguishers. The two manufacturing-cum-warehousing units are located in Vashi and Taloja near Mumbai. Early in 2008, production commenced at the third plant in Vishakhapatnam SEZ (VSEZ), a tax-free zone. Together with Eurotech Cylinders, a subsidiary, the company has established itself in the domestic high pressure seamless cylinders market with more than 200,000 cylinders in circulation under the brand EURO. Nitin Cylinders, a wholly owned subsidiary, has an export-oriented manufacturing unit of high pressure seamless cylinders at VSEZ. Under a technology transfer agreement with Kraus Global Inc., Canada, it produces and sells fuel dispensers and supplies proprietary products in India, Bangladesh and UAE. Other subsidiaries include Alert-Fire, Protection Systems, Logicon Building Systems, Eurotech Corporation, and Nitin Ventures FZE, which has acquired a 40% stake in a Dubai-based fire protection company New Age Company, LLC. Representing the UK-based companies Apollo Fire Detectors, Airsense Technology, and Kerr Fire Fighting; Ceodeux from Luxembourg; Ireland`s G.D. Protective; and the US-based Newtex Fire Inc. and The Protectowire Co. in India, the company caters to clients like American Express, Asian Heart Hospital, Bajaj Auto to name a few. The company bagged an order for the supply of CNG cascades to Indraprastha Gas for Delhi and Central UP, Kanpur and Bareilly City Gas distribution project. The recently acquired ISO 11439:2000 (E) certificate has opened export avenues to Iran, Egypt, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Malaysia, Thailand and other CIS countries. The first export assignment through its subsidiary Nitin Cylinders was completed by the first quarter of 2008.
