Anant Raj Industries (ANANTRAJ), incorporated on July 30, 1985, is a manufacturer and marketer of ceramic tiles under the brand name Romano. The company diversified into real estate development and construction of buildings. The manufacturing unit is in the Rewari district of Haryana with an installed capacity of 12,000 sq. m. per day ceramic floor and wall tiles. As a leading infrastructure and development company in the NCR having developed 11.5 million sq. feet, the core activity includes development and construction of IT parks, SEZs, hospitality, commercial and residential projects. As on March 31, 2007, it had a land bank of 928 acres with 77 million sq. ft. to be developed in five years. Over 90% of the land is within 50 km of Delhi, with approximately 500 acres in Delhi. A tie-up with the Reliance ADA Group will pursue joint development of the company`s hospitality and SEZ projects. Another tie-up with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation would look into investment opportunities. In the hospitality segment, plans have been firmed up to develop several four and five star hotel projects before 2010 for which it has tied up the Sri Lanka-based hotel chain Aitken Spence for managing some of its projects. Under a total planned construction area of 8.14 million sq. ft., 15 hospitality projects in the NCR and two outside NCR would be completed. Around 12 commercial projects have been taken up in prime areas in Delhi for commercial development. Land has been allotted to the company in Sonepat, Haryana and Noida in Uttar Pradesh for the development of IT parks. It has invested in 27 companies engaged in the business of construction and development of IT parks and projects relating to the hospitality sector. The registered office is located at 85.2 Km Stone, Bhudla village, Sangwari Delhi-Jaipur Highway, Rewari-123401, Haryana. Financials The company disclosed fall of 0.63% in consolidated net profit on y-o-y basis to Rs 305.83 million, while total income increased 53.53% y-o-y basis to Rs 717.20 million for the quarter ended March 2011.
