Kajaria Ceramics Limited Company Profile

Kajaria Ceramics is the second largest player in the Indian ceramic tile market. The company has a manufacturing capacity of 26.4 m sqm across its units in Rajasthan and UP. In September 2006, the company`s new capacity of 8.4 m sqm began commercial production. This took the company`s total ceramic tile manufacturing capacity to 26.4 m sqm, second largest in the industry. The management is still in discussion for the further planned expansion to 40 m sqm. Kajaria is also present in the vitrified tile segment, where it imports its entire requirement and does not plan to have any manufacturing presence. It is the largest exporter of ceramic tiles from India. Kajaria has a large network of 600 dealers across the country. It has also set up a distribution subsidiary `Kajaria Plus` to further strengthen its retail marketing. The company has the largest share in the northern market and sells around 80% of its production in the retail segment. Kajaria Ceramics exports to more than 20 countries around the globe. The international marketing operations are organized by a specialist export division that manages a network of international agents and distributors supported by its exclusive office in UAE. The world economic forum has also selected the company as one of the top performing global growth companies from India. The company has been selected as the business superbrand.
