Kaushalya Infrastructure Development Corporation is engaged in infrastructure, commercial and residential construction projects. It was incorporated on Jun. 04, 1992 as a private limited company and was subsequently converted into a public limited company on Feb. 7 2002 with the current name.
The infrastructure development operations are organized into the three major business divisions; Kaushalya Nirman which specializes in construction of roads, highways, bridges and industrial infrastructure; Kaushalya Gram specializing in electrification and Irrigation projects focused on development of rural India; and Kaushalya Parivar which specializes in construction of commercial and residential complexes.
This ISO 9001:2000 certified company started with operations in West Bengal and has extended operations to Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Sikkim. It engages in contracts classified into Item rate contracts, percentage rate contracts, O&M, and similar contracts. It plans to bid for projects under the BOT scheme in the near future. The company has executed 20 projects in a span of five years and is currently engaged in 14 projects. It has serviced many reputed clients like PWD, West Bengal, RCD Jharkhand, WBSRDA, NPCC, Mackintosh Burn, Energy Power Department, Government of Sikkim, Westinghouse Saxby Farmer, West Bengal Housing Board, Engineering Projects India, and WBHIDCO to name a few. The company operates a hotel in Jhargram, West Bengal.
Bengal KDC Housing Development is a subsidiary of the company, which executes housing projects and allied construction and development works in West Bengal under a memorandum of understanding with the West Bengal Housing Board.
