Asian Granito India (ASIANTILES) is in the business of manufacturing vitrified tiles. Incorporated on Aug. 8, 1995 as a private limited company, it went public on Aug. 29, 1995 and got its current name on Nov. 25, 2002. Kamleshbhai Patel is the chairman and managing director (principal promoter) and Hasmukhbhai Patel, the managing director. The company has a vast range of products at various price points. Products include glazed, unglazed, rustic, matte, homogenous and non-homogeneous body tiles manufactured through water jet cutting, tailor-made designs or customized according to client requirements. These products are manufactured at its plant in Dalpur, Himmatnagar, Sabarkantha district, Gujarat. The total manufacturing capacity is 14,000 sq. m. of vitrified tiles a day. After the proposed expansion, the total manufacturing capacity will increase to 16,000 sq. m. a day. The company has a wholly-owned subsidiary, Asian Tiles set up its first unit to manufacture ceramic tiles and commenced commercial production in December 2000 with an installed capacity of 2,500 sq. m. a day. The company has now increased the capacity to 7,000 sq. m. a day. The company caters to a broad spectrum of the urban and rural population through a nationwide distribution network. Currently, the company along with its subsidiary offers ceramic and vitrified tiles across the country through more than 250 dealers and distributors and more than 3,000 business associates. The registered office is at City Mall, 2nd Floor, Beside Rajpath Club, Sarkhej-Gandhinagar Highway Road, Ahmedabad -380054 and corporate office at: Ceramic Zone, Dalpur, Prantij taluka, Sabarkantha district, Gujarat-383120. Financials The company disclosed fall of 12.95% in standalone net profit on y-o-y basis to Rs 43.55 million, while total income climbed 17.21% y-o-y basis to Rs 1.29 billion for the quarter ended March 2011.
