KNR Constructions is an infrastructure development company which provides engineering, procurement and construction management services across the roads and highways, irrigation and urban water infrastructure sectors. It was incorporated on Jul. 11, 1995.
The company executes road transportation engineering projects including construction and maintenance of roads, highways, flyovers and bridges, irrigation, water supply and urban water infrastructure management. As on Jun. 30, 2007, it has 25 projects on hand across covering Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu along with its joint venture partner, Patel Engineering. Some of the major projects completed include the maintenance works under Uttar Pradesh State Road from Azamgarh to Ghazipur valued at Rs 250.92 million; widening to 4/6 lanes and strengthening of the existing 2-lane carriageway of NH-5 in the state of Andhra Pradesh for NHAI, New Delhi, valued at Rs 1,612.19 million; and widening to 4 lanes and rehabilitation of the existing 2-lane carriageway of Krishnagiri-Vaniyambadi section of NH-46 in Tamil Nadu for NHAI, New Delhi vaued at Rs 1,714.25 million.
The estimated unexecuted order book position as at Nov. 30, 2007 was Rs 17,338.25 million. Current projects for NHAI include four-laning from Nagaon to Dharamtul section of NH-37 and in Assam on the East West Corridor Under Phase-ll Program of NHDP valued at Rs 2387.25 million; and four-laning and strengthening of NH-7 section from Madurai to Kanyakumari valued at Rs 2825.8 million. The company caters to governmental agencies like NHAI, multilateral agencies like World Bank and Asian Development Bank and public works department of state governments of Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Uttar Pradesh.
