Atlanta (ATLANTA) is a diverse company engaged in the business segments of infrastructure development, mining and realty. Incorporated in 1977 as a partnership firm and converted into a private limited company in 1984, Atlanta was deemed a public company in 1991 and went public in September 2006. The chairman of the company is G. Vishwanathan and Rajhoo Bbarot is the managing director.
The company focuses on engineering, procurement and construction (EPC); public private partnership (PPP) contracts (toll-based build-operate-transfer projects); contact mining of limestone and coal; and real estate. It is ISO 9001: 2000 certified. Projects executed include the Udaipur Bypass and is successfully participating in toll-based PPP infrastructure development projects to building roads, highways, bridges, runways, docks, ports, canals, water courses, irrigation, embankment, reservoirs and executing several EPC projects. Clients include National Highway Authority of India, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, ..etc. The toll-based BOT projects of Mumbra bypass and Nagpur-Kondhali are current projects. It has received approval for developing an engineering special economic zone (SEZ) near Ahmedabad for which it has set up a SPV called Atlanta NG Realty.
In mining, the company worked on open cast projects (OCP) for Mahanadi Coalfields. It has surface mining technology from Wirtgen, Germany and Volvo, Sweden. Extraction capacity of limestone/coal is over 25,000 tons a day. Clients include Mahanadi Coal Fields, Reliance Petroleum, ..etc. In real estate, the company has completed projects like Atlanta Estate, Atlanta Arcade, and Shree Amba Shanti Chambers. The company focuses on properties in and around Mumbai and plans to develop projects in the emerging Tier II and Tier III cities across the country.
