Vijay Shanthi Builders (VIJSHAN) is a Chennai-based construction company incorporated on Jan. 6, 1992. The company is mainly involved in the development of premium residential projects in Chennai. The company promotes and develops housing/residential flats in and around Chennai. It has completed 260 buildings over two decades including under the erstwhile partnership concerns of the promoters in localities like Ayanavaram, Chetpet, Saligramam, Vadapalani, Vepery and up-market segments in areas such as Adyar, Anna Nagar, Kellys, Mylapore, Shenoy Nagar, T. Nagar, Perungudi and Thaiyur within the municipal corporation limits as well as metropolitan limits of Chennai.. Completed projects include Raintree, Strawberry, Upper Deck, Orchid, Four Seasons, Patio and Gangothri. It also has a small purified drinking water plant on the outskirts of Chennai, which delivered 12,953,699 liters of mineral water for sale in FY07. Existing projects under various stages of development involve a built-up area aggregating 5.5 million sq. ft., which presently also include luxurious and lifestyle apartment complexes and semi-independent bungalows in the up-market areas of Nungambakkam, Alwarpet and Adyar, Mylapore as well as the central business districts of Egmore and Nungambakkam within the corporation limits of Chennai. The ongoing projects include Lotus Pond, Park Avenue, Fountain Square, Statue Circle, Club Cabana, Infiniti, West Park, Edge Water Villa. Some of the new projects include Aqua, Turquoise, Mystic and Whisper. In October 2007, the company entered into an agreement for a new project venture valued at Rs 1.35 billion and with Milestone Real Estate Fund recently promoted a joint venture company, Vijay Shanthi Milestone Developers, for undertaking residential projects in and around Chennai.
